Semester students
You can never start early enough...
The laboratory for ion beam physics offers opportunities for student semester projects. Hands-on experiments can be performed on one of the three particle accelerators operated by the laboratory for accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) and materials science purposes.
Research subjects:
- dating by the radiocarbon (C-14) technique
- materials analysis and modification by MeV ion beams
- instrumental developments (particle detectors, ion sources)
- development of new measurement setups for AMS
